My experience of Golden Orient was excellent. I cannot fault it. I've eaten at quite a few Chinese buffets and I can honestly say the quality was high, especially for the price you are paying! I went early evening and so it was still fairly quiet. I thought the options of food was very reasonable (eating meat), and the taste was good. On numerous occasions I saw the servers topping up the food. The added bonus is the desserts!! I'm deciding to go for a Chinese buffet in a few weeks and will come here again.

OK, the food is fairly generic but it's delicious, fresh and not soaked in MSG. The buffet gives you a wide choice, and used plates disappear quickly with a smile from the attentive staff. The takeaways are an absolute bargain. Dietary restrictions: If you have to be careful with allergens, there's a number code written on the tiny cards above each dish, and a separate chart that the staff can direct you to. It's OK if you only have to remember one number and have excellent eyesight but a bit tricky otherwise.

Selection of food is good and there always plenty of it. Quality of food is good. Service is first rate, they do anything they can for you at all times. Quieter at lunch than dinner time. Can be a tad noisy when packed. On complaint is that I need a bigger bowl for use with the ice cream machine.

Great selection of food on offer, hot and tasty. Good pudding choices as well, including a chocolate fountain and ice-cream machine. Just make sure you've got a good appetite to get your money's worth!

Our experience was not great unfortunately. Went recently, some food was ok but some wasn’t and some of the chicken was pink inside so we didn’t eat it and when next batch came out it was not pink so had been undercooked. The staff were a bit rude in manner throughout and also keep watching you. It isn’t what it used to be, although I think the price was decent - the food standard was just not good enough. We came away disappointed and doubt would visit again although could see others enjoying - so it’s a matter of opinion I suppose.

Popped in for a mid day all you can eat meal with friends. It has easy access from the M6 which makes our life a lot easier. Pleasant service with no rush / pressure and a nice selection of food. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area.

I normally keep away from buffet food because of poor standards and the amount of people who seem to get ill. I passed this place so thought I'd check it out. The food was great with lots to choose from, all hot and fresh. Lots of staff replenishing, clean and tidy. Very pleased I tried it out and would highly recommend 😁

At £17 for an all you can eat, I expected more than 3 vegan options of hot food. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to vegans; for none vegans you can eat old MacDonald's farm here 🤢🤮 The stairs to the toilet require some permanent repair. Cables ties holding a banister up and hazard tape holding one of the steps together is not a great sign.

I'm really disappointed with this place. Food was limited even though the website stated more options in the evening. Some food was luke warm, tasteless and over cooked. Seemed like the food had been sat in on the hot plate for days. Some food items were OK but not worth a visit. It's a pity really the venue is nice but I will not be in a hurry to go back. Worse Chinese buffet I have been, too. #teamnewnes Insta
